This year’s Halford Hewitt saw us drawn at Royal St. George’s against Eastbourne in round 1. Despite having won against Eastbourne a few years earlier, we knew they were a good, young side.

We were blessed with great weather and after a good lunch sallied forth in a 3 ball and 4 ball format playing full stableford handicaps.
The nearest the pin on the 7th was won by James Wilce with a nice amount of backspin to land the ball by the pin. On the following hole the longest drive went to William North who managed to keep the ball on the fairway.

This year’s Spring Meeting is taking place at Royal St George’s Golf Club on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd May. Anyone wishing to attend should let the Match Manager know without delay as most of the places have been filled.
Anthony Speelman has again offered to host the next two finals at Valderrama this October provided that all four finalists can agree a date. The entries for this year’s Rix-Hill remain open and represent fantastic value. Where else could you pay £25 and have an all expenses paid trip to a great venue like Valderrama?
