Herewith the resulting match photo of our Regional Meeting at Bruntsfield.
We were blessed with great weather and after a good lunch sallied forth in a 3 ball and 4 ball format playing full stableford handicaps.
The nearest the pin on the 7th was won by James Wilce with a nice amount of backspin to land the ball by the pin. On the following hole the longest drive went to William North who managed to keep the ball on the fairway.
Some excellent play was seen by all contestants and good use was made of the mOHlligans where necessary! The top 3 scores were William with 39 points – James with 38 points and Archie with 31 points.

The cup is of the Old Claret Jug and Archie has taken it in hand to have engraved and ready for presentation next year at Muirfield
On Saturday William and I (playing 4somes) took on James for a quick round and managed a defence by the oldies against the new blood!
After William and James departed for their long drives home we were joined for lunch by Forest Ellvers (1936) appropriately dressed!
We all look forward to the next Scottish Regional meeting at Muirfield in 2015.
