At the Autumn Meeting on 9/10 October 2008, George Rothman presented the Rothman Trophy which is a Scratch Competition with “allowance for age”. George, just two weeks from his 73rd birthday shot a gross 73 and was awarded his own trophy by our president David Moseley!
Nick Stewart (The Colonel) organised a superb day’s golf for all who wished to attend, and was unable to play himself! In the morning we played “better ball three ball” matches on the new course and in the afternoon foursomes on the old course.
There were prizes for the best scores and the man of the match award went to our president – David Moseley.
