In early October, good weather greeted 21 Society members at Royal West Norfolk GC for the Autumn Meeting
Despite an early drop of rain at 8am on Thursday, members enjoyed good golf, good weather and good company this year. Some excellent scores were achieved, especially Jerome Wilcox (7) with a gross 73 on Thursday morning.
All competitions were keenly fought, with the following as this year’s winners:
De Rougemont Challenge Cup
Alaister Orchard prevailed over James Amies in the knockout for lower handicappers.
Gilroy Challenge Cup
Giles Leather prevailed over John Orchard in the knockout for higher handicappers.
Aubrey Edward Challenge Cup
Jerome Wilcox scored a nett 66 to comfortably win on Thursday morning.
Jerome also won the George Rothman Special Salver.
Secretary’s Salvers
David Moseley and John Macpherson produced an excellent score to narrowly win.
Sunley Salvers
In a keenly fought contest on Friday morninng, James Hedin and David Moseley scored 34pts to take home the Salvers.
